All four teams sitting at 2 – 3 in the Iowa Conference, something will have to give this afternoon when Coe College visits Central for a league hoops doubleheader.

The Kohawk and Dutch women are each tied for fifth place in the standings, but Coe has played well of late. They knocked off Simpson on Wednesday for only their second conference loss of the season, and played #2 Wartburg to a ten-point game. The Dutch are expecting Jackie Kriegel to be back in the line-up after missing some time due to a concussion.

The two men’s teams are tied for the sixth and final spot in the league tournament here in early January. Despite Coe not having played nearly the level of difficulty of schedule as Central has up to this point, Coach Craig Douma says his team will still need to be prepared to play a scrappy Kohawk squad.

You can hear today’s doubleheader live on 92.1 KRLS, KNIAKRLS.com, and via our free KRLS mobile app. Cory Houser will provide the play-by-play, with the PellaMotors.com Radio Pregame Show starting at 1:45 p.m., and tip-off of the women’s contest at 2:00.
