West Marshall drilled 16 three point shots and ran away from the Pella Christian boys basketball team last night 83-50.

The Eagles held an 11-9 lead in the first quarter, but the Trojans closed the frame on a 10-0 run, then built a 21-point halftime lead from which Pella Christian couldn’t recover.

West Marshall outrebounded the Eagles 44-18 and only needed 22 attempts to make their 16 three pointers.

Pella Christian was led by the Huisman brothers, with Jayden scoring 14 and Alex tallying 11.

The Eagles are now 4-9 and will get back at it Friday night against class 3-A #1 Oskaloosa.
