Thursday evening Marion County residents filled the Knoxville High School Media Center to take part in a suicide prevention town hall meeting being held by the Suicide Prevention Task Force.

76 individuals came together to learn more about what they can do to help save lives and eliminate suicide in Marion County. The meeting began with a presentation showing national, state and local statistics about suicide. Following the presentation communication, training, prevention and response work teams were formed to discuss ways to help create a strategic plan on how to eliminate suicides in Marion County.
