Rep. Greg Heartsill recently received an Outstanding Anti-Trafficking Service Award during the Governor’s press conference and proclamation signing.

Heartsill tells KNIA/KRLS News human trafficking is an evil in our society and to eradicate it, light needs to be shined on it and the people involved need to be punished. Heartsill says he was very humbled to receive the award. Governor Kim Reynolds proclaimed January as Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness Month, at which time she presented the service award to Heartsill and other individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to end trafficking in Iowa.
