A winter storm system may bring moderate to heavy snowfall to most of the state Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, totals between 3-6″ are possible through Monday evening in Marion County, with areas along and north of Highway 163 seeing the higher end of that range.

Snowfall rates over an inch an hour are expected as well. The National Weather Service does not anticipate drifting snow or gusty winds, but roads will still likely be slick and snow covered, especially in the afternoon and during the evening commute.
