The PCM Mustang wrestling team fell one dual victory short of advancing as a team to the state meet at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

The Mustangs quickly dispatched Red Oak in their first matchup of the night 53-22 on the backs of wins by Colby Tool, Wes Cummings, Lucas Roland, Jarron Trausch, and Noah Anderson. The win marks the 21st dual win for the Mustangs this season, which ties a school record. Williamsburg took down Creston easily 45-19 in their first round matchup, setting up the final dual with the Mustangs.

Wes Cummings set a school record with his 32nd win by fall against the Raiders, with Lucas Roland, and Jarron Trausch also picking up wins gave PCM an early advantage, but the deep Williamsburg roster pulled ahead for the 44-25 win. The loss marks the end of the dual season for the Mustangs, who will send 8 individual wrestlers to the state meet.
