Both the Pella and Pella Christian bowling teams hosted the Conference Invitational Saturday at Excit-a-bowl in Pella.

Oskaloosa won the boys meet, and Knoxville taking third at 2666, with Pella close behind in fourth at 2646 for a team score. The Eagles placed in 7th, scoring 2076.

Tanner Mason and Cole Murphy of the Panthers finished sixth and seventh among individual placers, bowling 391 and 383 respectively. Pella Carson Reynolds finished with 366 in the individual round.

Newton’s girls finished in first place overall. Knoxville was 3rd with a 1984. The Lady Dutch took 6th Place, followed by the Eagles. Amanda Harrill of P.C. was the top scoring girl in the individual round with a 348–a school record. Kaeleigh DeWaard of Pella was 3rd, rolling a 307.

The Eagles, Panthers, and Dutch bowlers will next compete at sub-state Tuesday. Pella travels to Ottumwa, Knoxville goes to Pleasant Hill, while Pella Christian will head to Muscatine.
