Pella caught the full brunt of the No. 3 Grinnell Tigers in a lopsided regional final basketball matchup Wednesday night, falling to their conference rivals 86-47 in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

The Tigers were playing high level basketball for most of the game, taking a 9-8 Pella lead and tearing into a 15-2 run after that, never looking back against a Lady Dutch team overmatched by the speed and defensive ability of Grinnell.

Head Coach Jerod Garland tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Pella had to play their best game of the year to knock off Grinnell, and while they had a good effort, the Tigers were at their best.

Turnovers were the biggest key for the girls in green, as Grinnell stole 16 of the 18 giveaways in the game. Pella was led by 17 points from Senior Chloe Van Vliet.

The Lady Dutch finish the season at 15-8 and say farewell to seniors Van Vliet, Kara Wichhart, and Erica Bossard.
