Memorial Hall in Knoxville was burglarized last week, with multiple ceremonial rifles taken from Batty Tucker Post 168 of the American Legion.

Commander of the post Curt Froyen tells KNIA/KRLS News that while the rifles are missing they have replacement rifles available from other posts so every military honor ceremnony can be attended to should they be needed. Chief Dan Losada with the Knoxville Police Department tells KNIA/KRLS News the investigation is following up on several leads from various sources, and that if the public knows any information to contact local law enforcement. Losada went on to say that while there is a danger with any firearm, these rifles have been modified to fire blanks and if a live round was to be fired without that modification removed the rifle could cause serious injury.
