The Pella Police Department says a big crowd helped raise funds for a new scholarship they are forming with Dollars for Scholars.

Pella officers and communications staff bussed tables at the Pella Pizza Ranch Monday night to collect money. The “Pella Police Department Gateway to Excellence Award” will be given to a graduating senior going to college majoring in criminal justice or a related field.
