Iowa State Savings Bank will open a new Melcher-Dallas branch after their last location was damaged by fire last July.

The bank had been operating out of a temporary location on the square while a return to their old location was being discussed, but Iowa State Savings Bank CEO Stuart Job tells KNIA/KRLS News that not reopening their Melcher-Dallas branch was never an option and that the new office should be available in the summer. The old office will begin to be demolished soon for the new building to be built. The new location will include a drive-up banking window and a 24-hour drive-up ATM.
