The first annual Spring into Parks event will be held on April 22nd hosted by THRIVE Knoxville.

Knoxville Superintendent Cassi Pearson, a member of THRIVE, tells KNIA/KRLS News that the day starts at noon and will consist of cleaning up trash, raking, painting, planting trees and general maintenance on the park equipment. The program involves beautification tasks at Paws & Pals Dog Park, Auld Park and Youngs Park. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will also be on location playing music and making announcements. Towards the end of the day, THRIVE Knoxville will a picnic dinner and yard games. The program is a family event suitable for all ages.
