A long time girls golf coach at Pella High School will be recognized for his career.

Mike Vint has been chosen to join the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He first served as the Girls Varsity Golf Coach from 1978-2003. Mike’s love of the game enticed him to come out of retirement in 2014, and he again served as Varsity Girls Golf Coach for three more seasons. Throughout his career, Coach Vint lead teams to 12 different conference titles, nine appearances at the state tournament and a state championship win in 1994.

This will be the second time Mike has been awarded a spot in the High School Coaches Hall of Fame, as he was inducted into the Iowa Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2010, after coaching Pella Varsity Girls Basketball from 1986-2009, again leading teams to several conference titles as well as advancing to the state tournament eight different seasons.
