The Iowa Sports Press Writers Association has released their first-ever all-state team for the girls, and three local athletes were listed among the state’s best players.

Pella’s Emily Holterhaus, Knoxville’s Katie Keitges, and PCM’s Regan Freland were all named to the third team of their respective classes.

Holterhaus was the top rebounder in Class 4A, collecting 259 total, and was 2nd in boards per game at 11.3. Keitges, a sophomore, was fifth in 4A in points per game at 19.9 and 2nd in free throws made at 119 per game for the Panthers. Freland, also a sophomore, ranked 10th in 3A in points per game at 19.1.

The Iowa Girls Coaches Association releases their All-State teams this Thursday.
