The Central College baseball team finished its three-game series against the University of Dubuque Sunday, falling 6-0 in Dubuque.

A winter storm sandwiched in between Friday and Sunday’s games wasn’t enough time to wake up the offense that only collected six singles after only mustering four hits over the first two games of the series.

Central’s Zach Edwards pitched well until he and Tanner Wood (Pella) coughed up five earned runs in the bottom of the 8th.

Central drops to 9-8 overall and 0-3 in the Iowa Conference.

The Dutch continue league play Friday with the beginning of a three-game series against Buena Vista University. The nine-inning affair begins at 3 p.m. and Saturday’s doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. Live stats and webcast production will be available at athletics.central.edu.
