Heading into the outdoor season opener on Tuesday, the strength of the Pleasantville boys’ track team looks to be in the sprinting department.
Head Coach Dillon Daniel tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the team brings back a loaded senior class with a few state qualifiers from a year ago and others he sees has the potential to qualify this May. Hunter Tyree brings back the most experience in the Blue Oval appearing in each of the last two seasons including a sixth place finish in the 100m dash in 2017. Thomas Ragan also competed in Des Moines in a few relay events last year. Individuals that return in the hurdling department include seniors Evan Mann and Kyle Amendt.
The Trojans compete outdoors for the first time tomorrow at Pella Christian.
