Justices from the Iowa Supreme Court will be meeting with students from six area schools ahead of a special session they have scheduled in Knoxville on Tuesday, April 3rd.

Justices of the Iowa Supreme Court will meet with students from area schools to discuss the Iowa judicial system and the role of the courts in Iowa.

Chief Justice Cady will visit Knoxville High School in the morning, Justice Appel will go to Pleasantville in the afternoon, as well Justice wiggins at PCM High School and Justice Zager at Pella High School.

In addition to the school visits, the supreme court will hold a special session on the 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Knoxville Performing Arts Center at Knoxville High School. During the special session, the court will hear oral arguments in one case, which is Alan Anderson, et al. v. Sohit Khanna, et al., which is a medical malpractice lawsuit on appeal. The oral arguments are open to the public. A public reception with the justices in the performing arts center lobby will follow the oral arguments.
