The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular and special session Tuesday.

The board voted to provide the City of Pleasantville with county funds for the Jasper St. Project. The city requested $725,000 be provided by the county on the 3.79 million dollar project. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian recommended a sum of $280,000 be provided by the county based on traffic estimates and future tax funds available, but the board voted on a $250,000 lump sum be provided to the project. The board also approved the Marion County secondary road five-year plan, and amended an agreement across the region for expanded mental health services in Marion County.

The board also met in special session later in the afternoon to discuss administrative space at the Marion County Courthouse and the East Annex. Ultimately, no final decisions were made, but a plan was put into place to allocate more office space for the Marion County Attorney’s office.
