It was a victorious start to the 2018 season for the Pella boys tennis team as they hit the road to North Polk High School Tuesday.

The Little Dutch defeated the Comets 9-2 in the opening meet of the spring. After No. 1 singles player Jordan Roozeboom fell against 2017 state qualifier Evan Moon, Pella rattled off five victories in the rest of the singles contest, with Colton Edwards, Jack Edwards, Isaiah Martin, Austin Adrian, and Carter Briggs all earning wins. Roozeboom and Briggs also defeated Moon and his partner Brennan Gering in doubles action. The Pella boys tennis team is back in action Saturday at the West Des Moines Valley invitational.
