The 31st annual Pheasants Forever banquet will be held tonight at Dyer-Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds.

Pheasants Forever is a group dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education, and land management policies and programs. Mike Brown with the Marion County branch of Pheasants Forever tells KNIA/KRLS News that despite being a part of a large organization, the focus for the group is on local events like bringing it back into conservation, youth organizations, hunters education and a youth hunt. Brown also said they are giving out over $4,000 to local shooting organizations and clubs. The banquet will have a happy hour, games, a raffle, and a live auction. Anyone interested may go, with an entry cost of $50. Registration to join the group will be available, with donations also accepted.
