Knoxville City Hall will begin their new staff schedule tomorrow.

The new City Hall hours will be Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. and closed on Fridays. Only City Hall employees will be affected by the change, and City Manager Aaron Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News that residents are appreciative of the longer days at city hall as it allows those that work a traditional first shift will still have time to conduct their business at city hall, and that Friday’s are traditionally one of the slower days. Adams said the inspiration for the change came from his previous experience with the hours in Arizona where it was met with a 90% approval rate from residents.
