The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday.
Mayor Brian Hatch began the meeting by reading a proclamation for Knoxville to recognize National Library Week for April 8-14th. The council awarded a bid on the Knoxville Library Expansion project to Christner Contracting Inc, held a public hearing on vacating an alley at 309 N First St. and approved the first consideration to do so, held a public hearing on the Youngs Park Improvements Project, and awarded a bid for cameras at the Knoxville Recreation Center, Auld Park, and Brooks Garden to Van Maanen Technology Inc.
The council once again discussed the possible changing of the city code to allow a waiver on sewer use charges, and agreed to use a council work session to propose possible avenues for the city to take.
