PCM Mustang fans will have plenty of events to pick from tonight, as numerous teams get back in action after a few cancellations earlier in the week.

The PCM boys’ soccer team will search for their first win of the season when they travel to Chariton for a 7 p.m. start. The Mustangs are coming off of a double overtime loss last week to Pella Christian and this marks the season opener for the Chargers.

The Mustang girls’ golf team will hit the links for the first time hosting Eddyville-Blakesburg. PCM fell one step short of a state appearance a year ago and bring back five of their six golfers from last season. The boys’ team also makes their season debut at Knoxville and will be led by state-qualifier Dayton Boell. Tee times for both meets are set for 4 p.m.

Both track teams will get back on the oval with the girls hitting the road to Eddyville-Blakesburg and the boys traveling to Clarke. The girls will look to pick up right where they left off last week winning the team title at Albia. The Mustang boys  finally see other competition after their first three meets were cancelled due to weather. The meets are scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start.
