It was a short night of soccer at Eagle Lane as the Pella Christian boys and girls had little trouble with Centerville.

The girls started the evening with a 13-0 mercy score victory. Pella Christian had 10 different players find the back of the net from 22 shots on goal, while the Big Redettes did not get the ball through the Eagles defense for a single shot on the net. The boys took control early in an 8-0 win over Centerville in the nightcap, scoring six in the first half. Head Coach Jake Fancher tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was nice to have a lot of players have strong performances on the pitch after two frustrating losses to start the week.

Sam Brouwer and Nathan De Bruin each scored multiple goals for the Eagles. Pella Christian’s girls are 1-1 on the season, while the boys improve to 2-2 overall. The Eagles girls are in Ottumwa tonight, while the boys are off until a matchup with Des Moines Christian Monday.
