It was a strong showing for the PCM girls’ golf team last night to open up the season, as they welcomed Eddyville-Blakesburg to town.
The Mustangs shot an even 200 with four golfers as the Rockets managed a 189 with three. PCM’s Sabrina Reed was meet medalist with a 47, edging out teammate Madeline Mitchell with a 48. Lexi Dross cashed in on a 52 and Brooke Dross rounded out the top four with a 53. Other scoring included Gabbi Van Baale with a 60 and Mack Bussan with 74. Head Coach Tony Ford tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that the team played well for the first meet and did a good job of not letting one bad shot affect the next.
The Mustangs will look to keep the momentum going Monday when they battle Pleasantville.
