After the PCM boys’ track team saw their first three meets of the season called off due to weather, the Mustangs proved that good things come to those who wait when they opened the season on Thursday with a meet title at Clarke.
The Mustangs seized first place with 156 points, blowing away the second place team by 40. PCM had everything working en route to eight event titles on the day including four relay teams. The 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, and shuttle hurdle relay teams all claimed first place honors. First place individual winners included Preston VanWyk in the 100m (11.04 seconds), Noah Anderson in the 200m (22.07 seconds), Beau Webb in 1600m (5:00), and Isaac Telfer in the shot put (41’10’’).
It’s a quick turnaround for the Mustangs, as they hit the road to Baxter tonight.
