The Iowa Supreme Court visited Marion County schools Tuesday, and heard oral arguments at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center.
Chief Justice Cady visited Knoxville High School, Justice Appel was at Pleasantville, Justice Wiggins visited PCM High School, and Justice Zager visited Pella High School.
Chief Justice Cady told KNIA/KRLS News being in the judiciary is a fulfilling profession that leaves you happy that you made a difference in someone’s life, and he hopes to inspire students who witness the court in action by having someone come up to him and say that it was witnessing the Supreme Court in action that made them go into practicing law.
The court held a special session in the Knoxville Performing Arts Center with a crowd over 100 strong hearing the oral arguments of a medical malpractice lawsuit on appeal. A public reception followed in the KPAC lobby sponsored by the Knoxville Education Association.
