Light snowfall, mixed with breezy winds, may make for difficult travel today throughout much of the state.

According to the National Weather Service, 1-2″ of snow is predicted in Marion County, with higher amounts falling along and north of Highway 163 and moderate snow expected in northern portions of the state. A snow/rain mix is expected to start in the afternoon and turn to freezing precipitation by the evening.

Winds topping out at 20 MPH may make visibility difficult as well. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
