The Coalridge Church and Museum hosted a 5K Fun-Run and Wheelbarrow Race Saturday.

The event served as a fundraiser for the Coalridge Community Church and Museum maintenance and upkeep, as well as for services that run from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Over 50 runners braved the cold to participate in the 5K fun-run each taking home a t-shirt and hat, with the winners of the wheelbarrow race in each age group winning a wheelbarrow. Organizers of the event Melinda Roland and Mary Montgomery tell KNIA/KRLS News the support they received was fantastic to see everyone come out, and they both know that this event will help keep services at the church and museum for years to come. The KNIA/KRLS Little Big Red Radio was on location playing music and making announcements.
