The third annual Wheels and Wings event in memory of Clayton Harsin is scheduled for September 15th, and preparations are already well underway to organize and fundraise.
Harsin was killed on his motorcycle after being hit by a drunk driver in August of 2014. This year, the funds will go towards the Iowa Donor Network, a non-profit organization that operates as the primary contact for organ, tissue and eye donation services for the state of Iowa andthe Marion County Humane Society.
Clayton’s father Eric Harsin tells KNIA/KRLS News the Iowa Donor Network was chosen for this year because it was an issue important to Clayton and the entire family who are all organ donors, and this year they really wanted to focus on Clayton.
