It was a successful night for area schools yesterday at the Eddyville-Blakesburg boys’ track meet, as PCM finished second and Pella Christian was right behind in third.

The Mustangs were without two of their top runners in Noah Anderson and Preston VanWyk to rest for the Drake Relays. Jacob VanWinkle was able to pick up the slack as he finished second in the 200m dash.

Pella Christian had a tri0 of first place finishes including Noah Treimer in the 100m, Bryant Agre in the 800m, and Blake Veenstra in the discus. Veenstra also nabbed second in the shot put and Brayton Juffer was second in the 3200m run.

The Mustangs are back on the track tomorrow when they host a meet while the Eagles stay in the Tulip City heading to Pella’s meet.
