Pella’s boys soccer team knocked off the two-time defending champions Norwalk at home in a dominating 4-0 victory Tuesday.

Soren Stelter scored twice, joined by a goal apiece from Reid McGinley and Ethan Poulter in an eight minute stretch late in the 1st half. This is Norwalk’s first conference loss since April 2, 2013, with Pella breaking a 34 game conference winning streak.

Head Coach Mark Solomon tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he’s excited to see the confidence build in his team after a win against a top-notch program.

The No. 8 Lady Dutch also knocked of the No. 4 Warriors in Norwalk 3-1. Grace Held ran wild for Pella, with her hat trick responsible for all of the offense. Both teams have tough matchups later this week — with the boys hosting No. 4 in 1A Gilbert and the girls traveling to No. 10 in 1A Nevada Thursday.
