Central College baseball player Tanner Wood of Pella and men’s track and field athlete Will Daniels were named Iowa Conference Performers of the Week in their respective sports Monday.

The position player of the week, Wood owned a slugging percentage of .968 as the Dutch went 4-0 on the diamond last week. W Competing primarily against Division I and II competition at the Kansas Relays last Wednesday and Thursday, Daniels finished second of 14 competitors with 6,673 points. He recorded new personal-bests in eight of the 10 events. With a leap of 6 feet, 8.75 inches, Daniels won the high jump. Daniels is among numerous high school and college athletes competing at the 109th edition of the Drake Relays.
