The PCM girls’ golf hit the road to Jefferson on Wednesday for the Heart of Iowa Conference meet and placed third out of eight teams.

The Mustangs had a team season low score of 392 strokes in the 18-hole meet, just two strokes away from second place. Gilbert ran away with the title with 336 strokes. Every golfer shot under their season average led by Madeline Mitchell who shot a personal best 85 that was fourth in the conference. Sabrina Reed also cracked the top 10 placing 6th with an 89. Brooke Dross and Allison Wood rounded out the scoring with matching scores of 109. Gabbi Van Baale and Alexis Dross had non-counting scores of 110 and 112, respectively.

PCM is back on the links tomorrow in Newton.
