The Marion County Treasurer’s Office and the State of Iowa has seen a large uptick in the number of driver’s licenses processed over the last year, with that number expected to continue to increase over 2018 due to the the new longer lengths of time the licenses are issued.
Deputy Marion County Treasurer Michaela Bigouette tells KNIA/KRLS News the department clerks have gone from processing 30 requests a day to 55, and the big challenge is to stay as efficient as possible while not being overwhelmed with the amount of work. The Marion County Treasurer’s Office is located on the second floor of the Marion County Courthouse.
