After a cancellation last night, the well-rested PCM (2-4) girls’ soccer team will look to get back in the win column tonight when they host Newton (4-5).
The Mustangs were last in action a week ago today losing to Collins-Maxwell 4-1. Senior goalie McKeeley Tjaden continues to impress, as she leads the Heart of Iowa Conference in saves with 63. Shaylee Shedenhelm has been a bright spot offensively with three goals on the year. Newton is coming off of an 8-1 loss to Pella on Monday. The Mustangs will have to tame the Cardinals’ Kameron Nehring, as she has six goals on the season.
The non-conference matchup gets started at 4:30 p.m. today at PCM Middle School.
