Area girls’ tennis and golf teams know where they will be playing in the postseason.
Knoxville and Pella’s golf teams are heading to Adel and the River Valley Golf Course on Monday, May 21st. The Lady Dutch are ranked 10th in Class 3A, and the Panthers are 37th. Among the teams to watch in the field include No. 5 Creston, No. 6 Centerville, No. 16 Atlantic, and No. 18 Glenwood.
Pleasantville is hosting in Class 2A Girls Region 4A, joined by No. 13 PCM. No. 2 Van Meter is coming to the Pleasantville Golf and Country Club.
For the boys, No. 7 in 3A Pella is hosting sectionals on Friday, May 11th at Bos Landen. No. 5 Washington, No. 13 Grinnell are among the notable teams joining the Dutch. Knoxville is heading to Lakeview Country Club in Winterset.
In girls tennis, team competition begins on Saturday, May 12th. Pella Christian will host Chariton in 1A Region 2, and join a grouping with Clarke and Oskaloosa at Eagle Lane. Undefeated Pella heads to Grinnell to also compete with South Tama and Grundy Center, while Knoxville heads to Norwalk to face Newton, the Warriors, and Saydel.
