A long-time Tulip Time volunteer and an outgoing member of the Steering Committee were recognized for their years of contributing to the festival Friday evening.

Dick Redman, 2013 Steering Committee Chair and former Director of Bands at Pella High School, earned the volunteer service award for his decades of contributions to Tulip Time.

Outgoing Steering Committee Member David Vollmar was also honored with a photo collage of his service over the past six years.

The Tulip Time Steering Committee is in charge of organizing the festival annually and consists of six volunteers leading smaller committees. It is also a branch of Pella Historical Society, the organization responsible for the annual tradition.
