Earlier in the season, the Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad dealt with injuries and illness and were shorthanded for three games without players Patrick Crawford and Hunter Ohannessian. While the Panthers lost those games…it also allowed more players to step into roles and become the scorers. Not only that, those players, Darius Pipkins, Elliott Schmidt, and Sam Wadle each picked up the slack during the time Crawford and Ohannessian were out. Coach Dylan Mick tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this has produced more scoring threats for his team. Mick adds the competition for the high scorer on the team has become more intense as the guys are wanting to see who leads the team in scoring. Right now Darius Pipkins leads with 13 goals on the season, and 14 different players have scored at least one goal.
