After an explosive start to the 2018 season, the Pella Christian baseball team came out on the wrong side of another back-and-forth contest Tuesday, falling to West Marshall 6-5.

While runs were at a bit more at a premium against the Trojans of West Marshall as opposed to those from Pleasantville, the Eagles were able to rally from a 4-2 deficit in the top of the 6th inning, before giving up two runs in the bottom of the frame.

Despite an eight strikeout night, Devin Haveman was the hard-luck losing pitcher, having to leave due to pitch count limits in a tricky rally situation for West Marshall. The Eagles are 1-1 and stay on the road in their next game Friday at Des Moines Christian.
