Each year, Pella Middle School students aim to make an impact around the globe as part of their 7th grade social studies class. This year, the group raised nearly $3000 for charities benefiting local, state, and national projects.
They received a loan from Community First Credit Union to start and operate a concession stand during school events. In total, after paying off their start-up loan, the Pella Middle School 7th grade raised over $4000, with some of the money going back to class projects, and the rest split among numerous non-profit organizations.
