The Pella School Board held their final regular meeting of the 2017-18 school year Wednesday.

They reviewed the 800 series of policies in the district handbook and approved a strength and conditioning agreement with William Penn, a payment to DeVries Electric for their part of high school renovations, and a sharing agreement with Oskaloosa for the food services director position. District administrators made their end of school year presentations to the board as well, which included a look back at the last nine months and what leaders plan to work on over the summer.

At the end of the meeting, Superintendent Greg Ebeling provided an update about the Pella Youth Coalition, a group of students, parents, and school staff aiming to better understand and reduce drug use in the community among teenagers. He says students will be working over the summer to connect with classmates with events and education.
