Here are updates from Pella Girls Golf and Tennis at State:

Lauren VanWyk shot a 95 on the final day of the 3A Iowa High School Girls State Golf Tournament. She finished 35th individually with a final two day total of 188 in a field of 75 golfers. The State Tournament was held at Clearwater Golf Links in Ames.

One Pella tennis player will compete in the final four of the 1A singles bracket of the Singles and Doubles Tournament, with their doubles duo trying to bounce back for 5th. Brooke Jorgensen went 2-0 as the No. 2 seed and is in the semifinals, securing her second straight top four finish at the state meet. She’ll play today for the chance at a title. Cecily Johnson and Bronwyn Metcalf lost their opening match to Red Oak, before winning twice, which ensured them a second straight top eight finish. Alex Griggs of Knoxville lost twice, once to the No. 1 overall seed and second in her playback match, which ends her season.
