There were no shortage of players who contributed to one of the most lopsided wins in Pella baseball history, when the Dutch won 23-0 in four innings at Chariton last night.

Ben Akers earned the victory on the mound, completing the game with one hit allowed and no walks. Jaden Rolffs had a double and home run, and Landon Vander Leest, Ryan Mace, and Noah Van Vark also had multi-hit, multi RBI performances.

Pella hasn’t scored more than 20 runs in a game since Head Coach Jesse Jablonski joined the program as an assistant in 2009, and possibly longer before that.

Both the Little and Lady Dutch are back in action tonight, as they host Indianola for a double header. Hear game two of baseball action live, with Andrew Schneider on 92.1 KRLS, kniakrls.com, and the free KRLS app at approximately 7:15 p.m.
