The Knoxville baseball squad continued their success in the South Central Conference with a win over Clarke last night 9-1.

In a game heard live on KNIA, the Panthers struck first when Kaleb Streigle scored from first on an errant pick off throw. That was the first of three throwing errors by the young Indians and the Panthers made them pay each time with four runs coming from the miscues. Knoxville scored four runs in the third and four in the fifth to have plenty of insurance. Ben Wallace led the team at the plate going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Kaleb Streigle and Jacob Zuck added a hit and RBI. Tanner Mason was solid on the bump collecting the win in 4 1/3 innings pitched giving up one hit, one run, and six strikeouts. Head Coach Matt Miller tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that Mason did a great job of hitting spots and was aggressive with his fastball that allowed him to be successful.

The Panthers won their fourth straight to improve to 6-4 on the season. They will get back at it tomorrow traveling to Chariton.
