A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10 p.m. for Marion, Mahaska, Jasper, and Poweshiek Counties in central Iowa. We are now under a severe thunderstorm warning as well until 7:45. A new warning has just been issued until 8:15.

The primary threats will be damaging winds and large hail.
