The Pella Fire Department was recognized among the best fundraising teams at the annual American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb.

Pella Firefighters took the 1st place trophy for the 3rd straight year for raising the most money among other fire departments in Iowa, and they were the No. 2 team fundraiser through the entire event. This year, the department gathered $12,967 for the American Lung Association.

Over the past four years, they have raised more than $30,000 to the cause. The Pella Fire Department thanks the community for continued support as they join the fight against lung disease.
