Pella Christian bounced back to earn their second softball win of the week against the Fillies, winning a 3-2 extra innings thriller at Eagle Lane.

The Eagles trailed 2-0 after the top of the fifth, but an RBI double by Chloe Morgan in the bottom of the 5th, scoring Sophie Howerzyl, and an RBI single by Emerson Sarver plating Danielle Vande Voort in the 6th tied the game at two. After failing to score with a bases loaded, one-out scenario in the 8th, the Eagles walked it off after Morgan scored on a fielding error. Vande Voort earned the complete game win.

The Eagles boys of summer traded some big innings with the Mustangs on the other diamond, winning 10-8. They jumped to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning, before three unearned runs allowed DCG to tie in the 3rd. P.C. picked up two more runs, including a Kade Vander Molen home run, in the bottom of the 4th, and extended their lead with the help of a Will Dembski bases-clearing two-bagger to 10-4, with the Mustangs getting four back in the top 6th. Cole Webster earned the save in the 7th, with Devin Haveman earning the W in relief.

Both Eagles teams travel to Newton for a twin bill on Monday night.
