Both PCM summer teams were back in action Friday night welcoming Greene County to town.
In the baseball contest the Mustangs controlled much of the game to hang on for a 5-3 win. Noah Henkenius was extremely efficient on the bump throwing all seven innings giving up seven hits and three earned runs on remarkably just 58 pitches. Brayten Van Dyke showed off some pop with a two run home run. Wes Cummings also cashed in on a two hit game and a pair of RBI. Head Coach Jeff Lindsay tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it was huge for the team to finish the week strong heading into a busy week ahead. PCM is now 5-4 on the season.
The softball team could not slow down the Rams in a 10-3 defeat. Maya Hegwood took the loss in the circle. Madison Foster was a bright spot offensively going 2-for-4 with a double and single. Morgan De Haai had a hit and two runs scored. The Mustangs drop to 2-4 on the year.
Both teams will get back on the diamond Monday against North Polk.
