For the second straight night the Pleasantville baseball and softball teams made quick work of Pride of Iowa Conference foes with Southeast Warren being the latest victim.

In the baseball game the Trojans scored in every inning to win 13-1 in five frames. Coming off of a no-hitter last week, Kyle Amendt had an encore performance giving up just two hits in five innings of work and six strikeouts. Quintin Berglund was in the zone going 4-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored to lead the offense. The bats have been red-hot for the Trojans, as they have combined for 48 runs in the last three games. They move to 13-3 on the year and get back on the diamond tonight traveling to Van Meter.

The bats were on display for the softball team as well, winning 10-0 in five frames. The Trojans had five hits in the first inning to plate four runs and never looked back. Pleasantville had 11 hits on the night led by freshman Josie Sowers going 3-for-3. Abby DeJoode got the win in the circle going all five innings of four hit ball. In the Trojan four-game win streak the team has pushed across 54 runs and improve to 12-8. They host Colfax-Mingo tomorrow.
